Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advantageously produce a metal product in which a cylinder part is integrally formed and a recessed part has a side face continuously extending in a peripheral direction on an outer peripheral face of a cylinder part with good quality without causing any void.
SOLUTION: A cylindrical metal stock is subjected to plastic working to be protruded outward in a diametral direction. After a preform 108 integrally having a bent cylinder wall part showing a chevron cross sectional shape is formed, by using a forming roller 92 having a projecting part 93 of a shape corresponding to the recessed part of a cylinder part of an objective metal product on an outer peripheral face and at the arrangement facing the preform 108 among a side face of the projecting 93 of the forming roller 92, at a state a bent corner part 100 of the bent cylinder wall part 106 is brought into contact with a side face locating a base side of the bent cylinder wall part of the preform, by form-rolling the bent cylinder wall part, a section between the bent corner part of the bent cylinder wall part is compressed in its longitudinal direction to be thickened and the bent cylinder wall part is formed to a shape corresponding to an outer peripheral face of the forming roller 92, the cylinder part is formed.
