PURPOSE: To obtain the titled high-purity compound at once, by extracting a halogenated metallic complex of each metal in an aqueous solution by the use of an oxygen-containing organic solvent from a raw material such a natural mineral source or industrial waste, adding a specific alcohol and then NH3 gas to the solution.
CONSTITUTION: One halogenated metallic complex is extracted from a starting raw material containing Fe, Ti, Nb, Ta, Sb, Sn and Zr contained in natural mineral source and industrial waste by the use of an oxygen-containing organic solvent such as ether, ester, ketone, amide, alcohol, etc., then an alcohol containing an alkyl group necessary for making a metallic alkoxide as the aimed substance and then NH3 gas are added to the solution to give the metallic alkoxide and an ammonium halide, which are then washed and filtered. The ammonium halide is separated to give the metallic alkoxide. The oxygen- containing organic solvent can be regenerated and used.
