To provide a method for producing a metallic glass alloy having high specific resistance by which the one having soft magnetic properties at a room temp., thicker than an amorphous alloy thin strip obtained by the conventional melt quenching method and having a bulky shape can easily be obtd.
A molten metal in which the temp. interval ΔTx of the supercooled liq. expressed by the formula of ≥Tx=Tx-Tg (where Tx denotes the crystallization starting temp. and Tg denotes the glass transition temp.) is regulated to ≥35K is sprayed on a cooling body in the process of moving to form a belt-like metallic glass alloy stock, and this metallic glass alloy stock is subjected to heat treatment of executing cooling after heating at a temp. rising rate of 10 to 180°C/min.
