To improve the yield of the product (meth)acrylic acid and simultaneously eliminate environmental pollution by efficiently recovering the (meth) acrylic acid in a vent gas discharged from a purifying step when producing the (meth)acrylic acid.

This method for producing (meth)acrylic acid comprises condensing and circulating the (meth)acrylic acid in a vent gas at the time of circulating the (meth)acrylic acid in the vent gas generated in a purifying step of a process for producing the (meth)acrylic acid through a collecting step or thereafter when producing the (meth)acrylic acid comprising the process composed of a reactional step, the collecting step and the purifying step. The generated vent gas is discharged from a vacuum producing apparatus and the generated vent gas is discharged from an apparatus operated under atmospheric pressure.
