Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enhancing the yield of anhydrosugar alcohol.SOLUTION: The production method for anhydrosugar alcohol according to one aspect of the present invention comprises at least one of (1) producing at least one of mono-anhydrosugar alcohol and di-anhydrosugar alcohol by dehydration-reacting sugar alcohol, and (2) producing di-anhydrosugar alcohol by dehydration-reacting mono-anhydrosugar alcohol, under the presence of a dehydration catalyst comprising at least one zeolite selected from the group consisting of a proton type beta-type zeolite, proton type MCM-68-type zeolite and proton type CIT-1-type zeolite having SiO/AlOratio of 30 or more and 400 or less, as well as under the condition of applying heat and applying pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
