Abstract:
To provide a method for efficiently removing alkali metals from biomass combustion ash and producing cement raw materials.SOLUTION: A method for producing cement raw materials includes the steps of: mixing a biomass combustion ash containing alkali metals and alkaline earth metals with a chlorine content to form a mixture; heating the mixture to generate alkali metal chloride and alkaline earth metal chloride; mixing the heated mixture with water to generate a suspension and eluting the alkali metal chloride and the alkaline earth metal chloride into the suspension; and solid/liquid-separating the suspension to recover a cake as cement raw materials. When the sum of the molar equivalent of the alkali metals and the molar equivalent of the alkaline earth metals contained in the biomass combustion ash is A and the molar equivalent of chlorine in the chlorine content is B, the chlorine content is added to the biomass combustion ash so that a molar equivalent ratio B/A is within a range of 0.5 or more and 1.5 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
