Abstract:
To provide a method for producing cobalt sulfate from crude cobalt hydroxide while reducing a recovery loss of cobalt to the utmost.SOLUTION: A production method of cobalt sulfate of the present invention includes a leaching step for slurrying crude cobalt hydroxide containing as impurity elements at least one or more of iron, copper, aluminum, manganese, calcium, zinc, nickel and magnesium and leaching the obtained slurry using an acid to obtain leached slurry, an impurity separating step for separating impurities in the leached slurry to obtain a concentrated solution of cobalt, and a crystallizing step for crystallizing the concentrated solution of cobalt to obtain cobalt sulfate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
