To provide a method whereby a spherical fine powder of a cured-resin having a particle diameter of 10 μm or below, is cheaply and easily produced from a radical-type thermosetting resin.
The cured-resin fine powder is produced by curing an O/W-type aqueous dispersing-element of a thermosetting resin at normal temperature or under heating, and thereafter drying. This dispersing-element is obtained by homogeneously dispersing a liquid radical-polymerized-type thermosetting resin in a water-phase. This cured-resin powder is the spherical fine powder having the particle diameter of 10 μm or below, and has a functionality to be usable as, for example, a crack-preventing agent, a low-shrinking agent and the like. Further, by allowing an unreacted double bond to remain in the fine powder of the cured resin, this powder is usable as, a remaining monomer in a matrix resin, for example, a modifying agent of a decreasing agent, etc., of a remaining styrene in a cured unsaturated-polyester resin, an agent giving a super hydrophilicity, an agent giving a super water-repellent, etc., or an agent giving an antibacterial and mildew-proofing properties and an agent giving deodorizability, and the like.
