Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a higher unsaturated fatty acid, while suppressing deterioration of silver salt solution.SOLUTION: A production method of a higher unsaturated fatty acid-containing composition includes steps of: inputting raw material liquid containing alkyl ester of higher unsaturated fatty acid and aqueous solution containing silver salt into a channel type agitator, and bringing them into contact with each other; and recovering the aqueous solution containing the silver salt brought into contact with the raw material liquid. In the method, input of the aqueous solution containing the silver salt into the channel type agitator, and recovery thereof are performed in parallel.SELECTED DRAWING: None
