Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a (meth)acrylic ester compound by highly selectively esterifying a primary hydroxyl group and/or a secondary hydroxyl group contained in a polyalcohol compound by an ester exchange reaction between the polyalcohol compound that has the primary hydroxyl group and/or the secondary hydroxyl group, and, a tertiary hydroxyl group and a (meth)acrylic ester using a catalyst containing a complex of iron.SOLUTION: A production method of a (meth)acrylic ester compound in which a primary hydroxyl group and/or a secondary hydroxyl group is esterified, which has a step (I) of performing an ester exchange reaction between a polyalcohol compound having a primary hydroxyl group and/or a secondary hydroxyl group, and a tertiary hydroxyl group and a (meth)acrylic ester using a catalyst containing a complex of iron to which a specific ligand is coordinated, in which a water content in an ester exchange reaction system is larger than 1000 ppm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
