Abstract:
To provide a method for industrially easily shortening nanofibers.SOLUTION: A method for producing nanofibers of the present invention comprises: obtaining a fine piece 13 from a fiber deposition sheet 11 containing nanofibers made of continuous fibers; applying a shearing force to the fine piece 13 to defibrate the fine piece 13 and to cut and shorten the nanofibers constituting the fine piece 13. A material having a basis weight of 3 g/m2 or more and 55 g/m2 or less is used as the fiber deposition sheet 11. The method is preferably configured in that: shear force is applied to the fine pieces 13 in a state of being dispersed in a dispersion medium to defibrate the fine pieces 13 and cut the nanofibers constituting the fine pieces 13 to shorten the fibers, and a dispersion liquid in which short-fibered nanofibers are dispersed in a dispersion medium composed of a single phase is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
