Abstract:
To provide an efficient and selective production method for a trans-olefin compound.SOLUTION: A production method for an olefin compound according to the invention includes a reaction step and a first refining step. In the reaction step, a raw material compound represented by following formula (1) (in the formula (1), R1 indicates a linear hydrocarbon group of 6-20 carbons, an alicyclic hydrocarbon group of 6-20 carbons, or an aromatic hydrocarbon group of 6-20 carbons, and each group may contain an oxygen atom, a nitrogen atom, or a halogen) is subjected to a cross metathesis reaction in the presence of a catalyst and a solvent to synthesize an olefin compound represented by following formula (2) (in the formula (2), R1 is the same as in the formula (1)). In the first refining step, a reaction solution containing the olefin compound and the catalyst is refined to separate the olefin compound from the catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: None
