PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for restraining a variation in a shape of a dynamic pressure generating groove in production of rotary equipment.SOLUTION: A production method of rotary equipment of the present invention is the production method of the rotary equipment of including a part for forming a dynamic pressure generating groove for generating fluid dynamic pressure by relatively rotating, and includes preparing a cutting tool having an edge of multiply coating a lower layer film of a titanium compound and a surface layer film of a titanium compound separate from the titanium compound, and forming the dynamic pressure generating groove by contacting with the part for forming the dynamic pressure generating groove while vibrating the edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
