Title:
PRODUCTION OF MICROBIAL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6075279
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a microbial cell containing specific elements essential to man and animals in the form to be eluted easily, by adding small amounts of the water-soluble compounds of the above elements to the culture medium in the logarithmic growth phase of a microorganism.

CONSTITUTION: A microbial strain (e.g. microorganism belonging to Saccharomyces genus, Rhodotorula genus, Candida genus, Tremella genus, etc.) is culture by adding at least one of the water-soluble compounds of Cr, Co, Mn, Zn and Mo [e.g. CrCl2.6H2O, CoCl2.6H2O, MnSO4.4H2O, ZnSO4.7H2O, (NH4)6Mo7O24, etc.] to the culture medium in the logarithmic growth phase of the microorganism. The amount of each element to be added to the medium is 1W50ppm. The compounds of the above elements are accumulated in the obtained microbial cell in a form to be extracted with water or an aqueous solution of a hydrophilic organic solvent and to enable the effective utilization of the above elements essential to man and animals.
