PURPOSE: To produce a microcapsule having an optional particle diameter by means of a simple device by spraying a liquid substance for forming a core part, a substance for forming a wall membrane made to a liquid and the air for heating and perssurizing as a jet into a cooling gas through a triple concentric cylinder nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid substance for forming a core part, a substance for forming a wall membrane which is made liquid by heating, and the air for heating and pressurizing are respectively sprayed through an inner tube of a triple nozzle, through an intermediate tube thereof, and through an outer tube thereof into a cooling gas such as cooling air in a cooling pipe. In this time, since the cooling gas is fluidized, the substance for forming the wall membrane is cooled and made to a solid phase, and also made to a capsule by the action of the air for heating and pressurizing. Further, as the substance for forming the wall membrane, the following fat and oil, wax, etc., are used which become liquid when heating these at m.p. or above and are made to the solid phase when cooling these at m.p. or below. In the above process, the particle diameter can be easily controlled in the range of about 10W1,000μm by controlling the temp. and the pressure of the air for heating and pressurizing and also a drying process or the like is not necessitated and therefore the device can be easily constituted in miniature.
