Abstract:
To provide a convenient production method of microparticles suitable for preparing spacers for liquid crystal display devices, electro-conductive microparticles or the like, having monodispersability and excellent in solvent resistance.
This production method of microparticles comprises dissolving polymerizable monomer containing multifunctional monomer having ≥2 unsaturated double bond in a molecule and a polymerization initiator in a solvent in which the monomer and the initiator can dissolve but the resultant copolymerization product cannot dissolve and copolymerizing the monomer. As a multifunctional copolymer, 3-15 mol% allyl (meth)acrylate is used based on whole polymerizable monomers.
