To obtain the subject mixture useful as a raw material for antioxidants for rubbers and plastics, corrosion inhibitor, etc., in various proportions by catalytic hydrogenation of an aniline with hydrogen at high temperature and pressure in the presence of a specific catalyst.
This mixture of a cyclohexylamine of formula II and a dicyclohexylamine of formula III is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of (B) an aniline of formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, a 1-4C alkyl or alkoxyl) at 140-240°C under a hydrogen pressure of 10-400 bar in the presence of (A) a catalyst consisting of a molded form bearing no carrier and prepared by reducing a molded form composed of Co, Mg, alkaline earth metal (hydr)oxide and, a transition transition metal (hydr)oxide(s) of a metal of the groups V and/or VI.
