Abstract:

PURPOSE: To readily produce the subject fiber having an optional cross-sectional shape different from that of a spinning nozzle by carrying out the conjugated spinning of a core component in a state thereof completely covered with a sheath component having a coagulation value reduced from that of the core component into a coagulation bath.

CONSTITUTION: A core component having a coagulation value reduced from that of a sheath component (preferably ≥1.0) in a state thereof completely covered with the sheath component is discharged from a core-sheath type conjugated spinning nozzle into a coagulation bath. The coagulation of the sheath component occurs in advance to fix the fiber surface area. Thereby, the fiber cross sectional shape is deformed into one different from that of a nozzle hole shape by coagulation shrinkage of the core component.
