PURPOSE: To obtain the titled resin using the cut scraps and defective moldings of asphalt foam as a modifying material, by adding an inorganic carbonate to an asphalt foam, mixing under heating, and adding and kneading a specific amount of the molten mixture to a polyolefin resin.
CONSTITUTION: The objective resin can be produced by mixing (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin with (B) 20W70pts. of a molten mixture composed mainly of asphalt and obtained by heating and stirring the mixture of (i) and asphalt foam obtained by adding (a) a urethane prepolymer obtained by the reaction of a polyether polyol having an ethylene oxide content of ≥15% with an organic isocyanate to (b) an aqueous emulsion of asphalt, and foaming the mixture and (ii) an inorganic carbonate and, if necessary, an asphalt and, if necessary, with (C) a crosslinking agent, etc., heating and kneading the mixture and forming the mixture to a desired shape such as pellet, sheet, etc.
EFFECT: It has excellent water-resistance and imparts a resin with a definite elasticity.
USE: Suitable for packing and water-stop material, etc.
