A molded item is obtd. by compression molding a cyanic ester resin or its compsn. and sintering the resultant product. Pref. the conversion of the resin or compsn. is 75-95%. The moldability of the resin or compsn. is improved by adding thereto 0.01-10wt.% fluororesin and/or silicone. Thus, the productivity is enhanced since heating a mold is not necessary, there is no problem with mold release characteristics, and no burrs appear.
