Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an economic molding material showing sheet resistivity of 1.0×100 to 1.0×105Ω at any part and excellent destaticizing function on the surface and improved wear resistance.

CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin is blended with stainless steel fibers having 5-30μ average diameter, 30-500μm average length and 5-25 aspect ratio in an amount of 30-65 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of total amounts of the thermoplastic resin and the stainless steel fibers to form a thin film in a two-dimensional or three-dimensional shape, which is combined with the surface of an objective molding base to provide the objective molding material having uniform and low sheet resistivity on any part of the surface, excellent destaticizing function and improved wear resistance and capable of being colored in any color tone without impairing physical properties of the base.
