Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject soap useful an adhesive for radial tire, a curing promoter for coating compound, etc., in high yield, by heating a mixture a fatty acid having dissolved a molybdenum soap and a metal compound.
SOLUTION: (A) A fatty acid having dissolved (A1) a molybdenum soap is mixed with (B) a metal compound and heated to give the objective soap. To be concrete, a fatty acid (Z) such as natural or synthetic 6-30C (unsaturated) saturated fatty acid is reacted with a molybdenum compound and oxalic acid to synthesize the component A1. The component A is formed, incorporated with a metal compound such as zinc oxide or magnesium oxide and optionally the fatty acid (Z) to form a metal soap except molybdenum in the presence of the component A1.
