Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for efficiently producing monomethylamlnoethanol by reducing a large thermal load in a purification system.
CONSTITUTION: A crude liquid obtained by reacting the monomethylamine with ethylene oxide is mixed with an alcohol and the resultant mixture is then fed into a distillation column 1-2 of an amine recovering system or the crude liquid and the alcohol are fed from separate lines thereinto to produce monomethylamlnoethanol in recovering the unreacted monomethylamine from the crude monomethylaminoethanol liquid. Thereby, the monomethylaminoethanol can efficiently be produced by a method for feeding the alcohols into the amine recovering system.
