Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a multicolor loop pile carpet giving various colors meeting the requirement for diversified colors, having warm feeling and high durability and causing little generation of acidic' stain.

CONSTITUTION: This process for producing a multicolor loop pile carpet comprises the use of a pile yarn consisting of a multicolor combined filament yarn produced from a combined filament yarn composed of a crimped polyamide filament yarn dyeable with acid dye and a crimped polyester filament yarn by dyeing the combined filament yarn with an acid dye. The real length of the crimped polyester filament yarn is made to be longer than that of the crimped polyamide yarn by 1-6%.
