PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a multilayer fabric capable of readily separating a fabric layer from each other at a part of the fabric.

CONSTITUTION: Meltable yarn 4 is allowed to twine around the outer periphery of nonmeltable nonspun yarns 5 (5a) to obtain binding yarn 3. Plural fabrics are put in layers and bound in that state by using this binding yarn to form multilayer material. The obtained multilayer material is immersed in a treatment solution to dissolve the meltable yarn 4 in the binding yarn 3, thus producing the objective multilayer fabric which is sewn only by the nonmeltable yarns 5 (5a).
