Title:
PRODUCTION OF MULTILAYERED FILM COATING OF PLASTIC OPTICAL PARTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01303401
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistant test and wear resistance of optical films by forming a silicon-contg. material by vacuum deposition as a cured film on the surface of a plastic base material, then forming alternate layers of a cerium-contg. material and Si-contg. material. CONSTITUTION:The cured film of a 1st material, i.e., silicon alone or a material consisting of a silicon-contg. oxide is formed by vacuum deposition as a base coat to 300-5,000Angstrom on the surface of the plastic base material. Total >=3 layers of the alternate layers consisting of a material consisting of a dielectric material contg. >=60wt.% cerium-contg. oxide or cerium-contg. fluoride and the 1st material are thereafter laminated to 300-5,000Angstrom film thickness respectively on the above-mentioned film. The optical films satisfy the various required optical characteristics in this way without degrading the surface performance of the base material and the exfoliation and wear resistance of the films particularly in the heat test are improved.
