Abstract:
To obtain an N-alkylamidoalkanol sulfate ester used for various kinds of cleaning agents for hair, etc., and excellent in foamability, etc., in good productivity and in good profitability.
An N-alkylamidoalkanol of formula I (R1 is a 6-22C alkyl, etc.; R2 is H, a 1-22C alkyl, etc.; R3 is a 1-5C alkylene; R4 is a 2-3C alkylene, etc.; n is 0-50 which is the average molar number of the alkylene oxide) is reacted with a sulfurizing agent in a mixing and stirring container corresponding to powder or highly viscous materials to produce the N-alkylamidoalkanol sulfate ester of formula II (M is H, a cation).
