Title:
PRODUCTION OF N-T-BUTYLAMIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2531935
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound for e.g. the treatment of infections caused by retroviruses such as HIV industrially advantageously by, for example, a process comprising deductively aminating an isoindol-2-yl-containing α- hydroxyaldehyde compound.
CONSTITUTION: The purpose N-t-butylamide represented by formula IV and being useful, for example, as medicines suited for the treatment of viral infections, especially infections caused by HIV(human immunodeficiency viruses) and other retroviruses is obtained by reductively aminating (2S,3S)-3-(1,3- dioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindol-2-yl)-2-hydroxy-4-phenylbutyraldehyde of formula I with N-t-butyldecahydro(4aS,8aS)isoquinoline-3(S)-carboxamide or by reacting a 1,3,2-dioxathiolane derivative of formula III (wherein X is SO or SO2) with a compound of formula II.
