PURPOSE: To provide a knitted fabric imparted with natural fiber-like natural appearance and bulky new soft touch feeling owing to filament yarns ! and also any desired firm texture owing to a combination of one or two kinds of filament yarns.

CONSTITUTION: This knitted fabric is obtained by weaving combined filament yarns each of which comprises multifilament yarns A and B. The multifilament yarn A is obtained by drawing a highly oriented undrawn yarn mainly made up of ethylene terephthalate recurring unit and 15-45% in structural integrity parameter ( 0.2) at a draw ratio lower than the natural draw ratio followed by conducting a relaxed heat treatment, having the following characteristics: virtually presenting a constant extension region in the initial stage in the load- elongation curve; ≥70% in elongation at break; ≤70g/d in the Young's modulus at the primary inflection point Y1 of the differential Young's modulus curve; and ≥2.0 in the variation in hot water shrinkage. The multifilament yarn B has the following characteristics: made up of ethylene terephthalate recurring unit; ≥1.5 denier in single filament fineness; ≤50% in elongation at break; and ≥75g/d in the Young's modulus at the primary inflection point Y1 of the differential Young's modulus curve.
