Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the surface of an ESR ingot of an Ni-Fe based superheat resistant alloy.

CONSTITUTION: Slag having a compsn. contg. 38-50% CaF2, 20-30% CaO, 20-35% Al2O3 and 3-8% TiO2 or further contg. 2-5% MgO is used for ESR. The surface of the resulting ESR ingot is improved and the yield of active elements is enhanced.
