Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a nonwoven fabric for floppy disk lining which can prevent the floppy disk from causing surface defect or abrasion without generation of dust by applying an emulsion binder to an embossed nonwoven web.
CONSTITUTION: An embossed nonwoven web is treated with an emulsion binder to cover the surfaces of the fibers with the binder. This covered web generates no or nearly no lint or dust to lower the development of defect on the floppy disk.
