Title:
PRODUCTION OF NYLON FIBER BY HIGH-SPEED SPINNING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3358368
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce uniform nylon fibers substantially free from dyeing speck through the direct spin-draw process with process staining reduced despite high-speed yarn production using a water-containing finishing oil with high operability for a prolonged period of time.
CONSTITUTION: The water-containing finishing oil is applied to the yarn at the two process steps, before and after the interlacing treatment to adjust the water pick-up of the yarn to 10-20wt.% and the stretch percentage (Z%) is set to the value satisfying the formula: 10.7 ≤ log Z+2.65 × log Y ≤11.1. Particularly, a low-concentration finishing oil lower than 5wt.% is used in the first oil application before the interlace treatment, while a higher concentration finishing oil is used in the second step after the interlace treatment. The produced nylon fiber is suitably used in knitted fabrics for swimming wears, inner wears, stockings or the like or woven fabrics for sport wears, umbrella cloth and the like.
