PURPOSE: To obtain, among others, propylene and BTX, etc., in high yield, by extracting olefins, C5-fraction, etc., from petroleum hydrocarbons and by allowing said C5-fraction to contact with crystalline aluminosilicate under specified conditions to convert the fraction into aromatic hydrocarbons.
CONSTITUTION: First, petroleum hydrocarbons are subjected to thermal cracking at 740W790°C using a steam cracking system to form a cracked gasoline containing olefins and C5-fraction. Thence, either the C5-fraction produced or the cracked gasoline containing said fraction is allowed to contact with crystalline aluminosilicate at 300W600°C under a pressure 0W60kg/cm2G to convert it into aromatics, thus obtaining the objective olefins and aromatic hydrocarbons.
