PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing an optical fiber tape core wire by which bubbles can be prevented from mixing in the interstices among the optical fiber element wires and the optical fiber stabilized in transmission characteristics can be produced in producing the multicore optical fiber tape core wire.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing an optical fiber tape core wire comprises a step for forming coating layers on optical fibers and producing optical fiber element wires 1, a step for arranging the plural optical fiber element wires 1 into one row, a heating step for heating at least the surfaces of the optical fiber element wires 1, a step for collectively coating the plural optical fiber element wires 1 arranged in one row with an ultraviolet curing type resin 15 and a step for irradiating the ultraviolet curing type resin 15 with ultraviolet rays, thereby curing the resin and integrating the plural optical fiber element wires 1 into a tape like form.
