Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of chipping or size defects, etc., and to allow an element to be washed efficiently with substantially no time required for washing. CONSTITUTION:This process for production of the optical isolator consists in adhering and fixing an object to be cut, i.e., composite 1 at the time of cutting the element of a Faraday rotor 1b and a polarizer and analyzer 1a to a UV tape 5a for adhering the composite fixed by wax onto a silicon wafer 2, adhering a fixing base 6 of a dummy silicon wafer to both sides of the object 1 to be cut on the cutting direction side by wax at the time of cutting the element to a rectangular shape and, further adhering the UV tape for fixing the front surface of the composite to the front surface of the object to be cut at the time of rotating 90 deg. the object to be cut and cutting the object to a cubic shape.
