Abstract:

To obtain the subject aggregate enabling to charge a large amount of a substrate at once, efficiently produce an intermediate for synthesizing medicine compounds, and improved in water solubility without using a dissolution auxiliary by using a specific solvent.

The polar organic solvent solution of a 2-phenyl-1,5- benzothiazepin-3,4(2H, 5H)-dione compound of the formula [the ring A and the ring B are each a (substituted) benzen ring] is added to and mixed with a solvent (e.g. water) substantially not dissolving the polar organic solvent but capable of being miscible with the polar organic solvent, and the produced particles of the compound of formula I are separated and collected. The compound is preferably 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,5-benzothiazepin-3,4(2H, 5H)-dione, and the melting point of the objective aggregate is preferably 120-140°C.
