Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize disposed coffee bean shells as an organic fertilizer, save the disposal cost of the bean shells and exterminate the disposal pollution by adding a specific enzyme and a fermentation accelerator to the disposed coffee bean shells and carrying out the fermentation.

CONSTITUTION: Coffee beans such as arabica, robusta or liberica species are roasted, pulverized, dipped in water and disposed and 0.05-2.0wt.% hydrolase composed of a carbohydrase, proteases, esterases and amylases and 0.1-0.8wt.% fermentation accelerator such as KORAN(R) (a mixture of decomposed rice bran, etc., with a mineral) are uniformly sprinkled on the disposed granular bean shells, piled up and fermented. The resultant mixture is then sufficiently mixed after 70-80hr, fully matured, allowed to cool, dried, wetted with water and regulated.
