Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inexpensively obtain an organic lithium in a highly improved yield while effectively utilizing a by-product, by employing a lithium halide by-produced on the reaction, an alkali metal and an organic halide compound.
CONSTITUTION: When (A) an alkali metal (e.g. Na, K), (B) a lithium halide (LiX) and (C) an organic halide compound (RX) (X is Cl, Br, I; R is aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon) are reacted with each other to prepare the objective organic lithium (RLi), the LiX by-produced on the synthesis of the organic lithium (RLi) is employed as the component C.
