Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled material having high critical current density, high critical temperature and narrow transition temperature range, by dissolving or dispersing at least one kind of compound selected from alkoxides of metallic elements of three specific types in a solvent, hydrolyzing the alkoxide, dissolving or dispersing the remaining alkoxides in the hydrolyzed product and calcining the mixture.

CONSTITUTION: At least one kind of metal alkoxide selected from the alkoxides of 3 types of metallic elements consisting of (A) one or more elements selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba, (B) one or more elements selected from Sc, Y and lanthanoids and (C) Cu is homogeneously dissolved, dispersed or suspended in a solvent at a specific ratio and hydrolyzed by adding about 0.5W10g of an acid or alkali based on 1mol. of the alkoxide. The hydrolyzed product is added with a solution, dispersion or suspension of the alkoxide of the remaining metals and the obtained homogeneous mixture is calcined at 800W1,000°C for ≥2hr.
