Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inexpensively mass-produce a three-dimensional woven-fabric packing capable of uniformly collecting and dispersing a liq. at the joined part by simultaneously producing a multilayer permeable plate and the joined part between the adjacent permeable plates.
CONSTITUTION: The warp 4 passed through each warp passing hole of a harness group 6 is supplied to the multistage shuttles 8, to the number corresponding to the number of the layers of a permeable plate 11 constituting a packing 3, and wefting is carried out at the non-joined part 11a and joined part 11b of each permeable plate 11. A reed 9 has many warp passing grooves and is comb-shaped, and the threads constituting the multilayer permeable plate 11 are passed through the same groove in multiple stages. In the weaving of the non-joined part 11a and joined part 11b of each plate 11, the weft is sent by the shuttle 8, then the reed 9 is reciprocated in direction of the arrow P, and the threads are horizontally fed. Consequently, the non-joined part 11a and joined part 11b of each plate 11 are simultaneously woven.
