Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title readily handleable granules by making 1- pyrenecarbaldehydediphenylhydrazone useful as an electronic material, extremely useful as a sensitized material for copying machine, into a solution in methyl ethyl ketone, adding water to that solution and stirring. CONSTITUTION:A solution of 1-pyrenecarbaldehydediphenylhydrazone (PCP) as a solute in methyl ethyl ketone is incorporated with water and stirred to produce granules of 1-pyrenecarbaldehydediphenylhydrazone. In this method, solubility of PCP in methyl ethyl ketone increases and granulating rate also becomes high with rise in temperature and the temperature is preferably about room temperature. Feed rate of the PCP solution to water is preferably higher. When the said solution in methyl ethyl ketone contains various binder polymers besides the PCP, preferably the prepared particles of PCP are harder and slightly ground.
