Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily obtain in high yield the subject compound useful as e.g. a medicine, agrochemical, functional material, because of manifesting physiological activity, water repellency, oil repellency, etc., by reaction between an aromatic organic compound and a perfluoroazoalkane under ultraviolet-light irradiation.
CONSTITUTION: This compound of formula Ar-RF (Ar is an aromatic organic group) [e.g. a compound of formula II, a compound of formula III (Y is O, S or amino)] is obtained by reaction between (A) an aromatic organic compound [e.g. a compound of formula I (X is H or an organic group) such as furan, thiophene or pyrrole] and (B) a compound of formula RFN=NRF (RF is a perfluoroalkyl) under ultraviolet irradiation. The reaction is pref. conducted in such a way that, in a two-layer system made up of the component A and a solution (B1) prepared by dissolving the component B in a solvent such as a perfluoroalkane, the solution B1 is irradiated with ultraviolet light.
