A phase difference film 2 is produced by heating and stretching a resin film 1. This method includes three processes of preheating, stretching and cooling. In the stretching process, a zone stretching apparatus arranged almost in the vertical direction is used. The resin film 1 is heated with a thermal radiator type heat supply device in the preheating and stretching processes.
