PURPOSE: To obtain a phospholipid saccharide derivative using an enzymic method under mild conditions easily without causing side reactions, by reacting a phospholipid with a monosaccharide, disaccharide or a phenol glycoside thereof in the presence of phospholipase DM.
CONSTITUTION: A phospholipid expressed by formula I {A is formula II [R1 and R2 are -O-COR11 or -O-R12 (R11 an R12 are 7W21C aliphatic hydrocarbon group); R1 and R2 together form a group expressed by formula III (n is 11W19)]; B is a group expressed by formula IV (m is 1W5)} is reacted with a saccharide selected from 5W7C monosaccharide and disaccharide containing one or more primary alcohol groups and 3 or more hydroxyl groups (including OH groups in the primary alcohol groups) in all or a phenol glycoside thereof in the presence of phospholipase DM. The saccharide may be substituted by an amino group or acetylamino group.
