PURPOSE: To manufacture a hollow and long-sized pipe shape part with high accuracy at the time of executing press forging.

CONSTITUTION: In the manufacturing method for a pipe shape part obtained by executing press forging of the pipe shape part by reducing the inside diameter and the outside diameter of a stock 13d in which a hole is formed, press forging is executed, while pressing a mandrel 5 for forming the inside diameter against a bolster 6 and fixing it by a cylinder rod of a double-action cylinder or an auxiliary cylinder 18 attached to a slide 3 of a press. In such a way, floating-up of the mandrel can be prevented, and the pipe shape part being free from a fold defect can be manufactured by single extrusion.
