PURPOSE: To form a glaze layer having a uniform thickness with an extremely rare buildup part at the end of the glaze layer of a planar type glazed ceramics substrate.
CONSTITUTION: A glass paste is printed on the top surface of the first ceramics substrate 11 to form a glass layer 12 and the first substrate is then placed on the top surface of the second wider substrate 13 than the first substrate 11 so as to bring the top surface thereof into contact with the undersurface of the first substrate 11. Plural thicker space bars 14 and 15 than the first substrate with the glass layer 12 are then arranged on the top surface of the second substrate 13 in the periphery of the first substrate so as to surround the first substrate 11. The third wider ceramic substrate 16 than the first substrate 11 is subsequently arranged on the plural arranged space bars to cover and hermetically seal the arrangement space of the first substrate. The first substrate with the glass layer arranged in the hermetically sealed space is then heat-treated to fuse the glass constituting the glass layer. Thereby, a glaze layer 17 is formed on the top surface of the first substrate.
