To provide a production planning method capable of coping with demand fluctuation in a production plan, performing a producition adjustment among products to be produced without changing a basic production plan, and executing a flexible production adaptible to a customer request until just before the production of products.
The production planning method of the manufacturing industry to produce products by mixing a plurality of models associated with products in a product manufacturing line is provided to decide the number of production of each of a plurality of models including models associated with expected production based on the preliminary prediction of the fluctuation of demands, and to assign the production frame of the models associated with order reception to the production frame of the production scheduled models associated with non-order reception according to order receiving situations until the start of production in order to change the number of production by every model. The production planning method comprises a step to classify the plurality of models into a plurality of product groups based on similarity on production and a step to retrieve the production frame changeable in the range of the product groups when assigning the production frame of the models associated with order reception to the production frame of the models associated with non-order reception.
