Title:
PRODUCTION OF PLYWOOD USING WASTE WOOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0724806
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the production cost of plywood by mixing waste wood chips with a synthetic resin as a raw material and heating the resulting mixture to mold the same as plywood.

CONSTITUTION: Inexpensive waste wood such as lumber from thinning or fallen wood is finely ground to form waste wood chips which are, in turn, sufficiently mixed with a synthetic resin such as polyethylene as a raw material so that the ratio of the chips and the synthetic resin becomes 7:3. The obtained mixture is heated to 200°C to be molded as plywood. This molded material becomes sufficiently usable plywood and the production cost of the plywood is reduced to a large extent.
