Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the performance of a polarizing lens to have ≥90% polarization degree and ≥40% transmittance for visible rays though the polarizing lens is an inexpensive one produced by adhering a polyhalogen polarizing film to a lens.
CONSTITUTION: The polarizing lens is obtd. by interposing and fixing a polyhalogen polarizing film 3 with a thermosetting adhesive 2 between two lenses 1a, 1b, and then heat treating the whole laminated body at 90-120°C. The obtd. polarizing lens has ≥90% polarization degree and ≥40% transmittance for visible rays.
