Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyamide having excellent various performances such as mechanical performance, heat resistance, low water absorption properties, chemical resistance, etc.
CONSTITUTION: In producing a crystalline polyamide comprising a dicarboxylic acid component composed of 60-100mol% of terephthalic acid in the dicarboxylic acid component and a diamine component constituted of 60-100mol% of a 6-18C aliphatic diamine component in the diamine component as a first stage, a low- molecular condensate [A] is synthesized as a second stage, the low-molecular condensate is heated in a solid phase state and subjected to polycondensation to give a prepolymer [B] and, as a third stage, the prepolymer [B] is further highly polymerized by a melt extruder to provide a method for producing a polyamide [C]. The heating temperature [T1] in the solid phase state at the second stage is in a temperature range between the melting point of the low- molecular [A] and a temperature 150°C lower than this melting point and the heating temperature [T2] by the melt extruder at the third stage is a temperature range between the melting point of the prepolymer [B] and a temperature 150°C higher than that melting point, in the objective methat.
